Well in my humble opinion this is not what I imagined in the 21st century 3D TV would be like. With this in mind what could possibly rival the current mediocre offerings. Well one idea is a series of LED's arranged in a cube. Below is a video of a hobby prototype that shows the potential of this technique which could eventually offer a true 3D experience without the need for those pesky glasses.
3D LED Cube - The Future for 3D TV?
There has been a lot of hoo haa about 3D TV within the last 6 months. With many TV hardware manufactures releasing their idea of what a 3D TV should be. Most of these either require you to have some form of glasses and/or require you to sit in set seating positions to get the 3D experience. Even Sky TV have jumped on the band wagon and are broadcasting content in 3D.
